    WORST MOVIE EVER!!

    By Robyn | July 22, 2008

What a horrendous waste of money!! I have to say, we were looking forward to this one. My kids even wandered the house flashing their best Wall-E imitation voices. From minute ONE—-we get more and more Global Warming NONSENSE stuffed down our throat! From the first scene, humans are the fat, selfish villains who have destroyed the world. PUH—LEASE!!! I am writing this post in red because it is the opposite of green. I am NOT green! I do NOT recycle! During “Earth Hour” when everyone turned all of their electricaI items off—I turned all of mine on, and turned the car on in the driveway with the air conditioner on! OK, so maybe I didn’t go that far…but that is how hugely I am AGAINST everything that the whole Global Warming community hold so dear! In fact, I’m probably the poster child for “Anti-Green”!!

That said…I love this Earth. I am thankful everyday for the amazing creation that it is. I also know that this earth has survived for thousands of years. Meteor showers that can kill off civilization. Ice Ages. Volcano eruptions (including a vocano that hasn’t stopped erupting 1 day of my life). But now you are going to tell me that this earth will be destroyed because I refused to stick my hand in the toilet to clean my child’s cloth diaper and instead dressed all four of them in disposable? Are you freaking kidding me? I throw out my Diet Coke cans instead of recycling them! If the bagger at the grocery store tries to give me ‘paper instead of plastic’…I correct him—how in the heck am I supposed to handle four kids and non-handled paper bags…thank you…NO! I was once asked “Why not recycle, just in case the wacko’s are right”? To which I heartily answered as I tossed my soup cans (unwashed) into my garbage can…”Because if you give these idiots an inch, they’ll take away everything!”

So, about Wall-E…I’m going to continue to shop at Costco…I’m going to continue to pay monthly for satellite TV! And I will continue to tell my children to smile on Earth Day while their teachers try to load their heads with mind numbing BUNK…and to just let the info slide out the other ear! There isn’t a human being on this earth who could do more damage to it than Mother Nature…and if she hasn’t managed to end civilization, my aerosol hair spray isn’t going to do the trick!

Here is one very SMART man’s take on all of this crap! Amen, brother!
***As anyone who knows George Carlin should know…this clip is NOT for children, or the faint of heart!!

Hmmmm I would have to disagree with you on a few of your issues:
      1. My kids loved Wall-E
      2. It is good to recycle and be concerned about our earth.
      3. Teachers don’t fill kids heads with “BUNK” on Earth Day.
      4. I guess I am the “faint at heart” cause I couldn’t get past the “f” word!

And it pleaseth God that he hath given all these things unto man; for unto this end were they made to be used, with judgment, not to excess, neither by extortion.—D&C 59:18, 20

Sorry…I guess this post hit a nerve!

Sal, what exactly did your kids like? There was nothing in the movie we even found endearing (and I’m pretty cheesy when it comes to endearing movies). My kids have no desire to see it again–if I missed something, please (anyone) let me know! I love the earth, I respect it–and I haven’t done anything thus far to damage it…but I’m also not doing anything P.C. just because the “masses” seem to push it’s importance. AND… maybe not in Utah, but I can send you quotes from the leaflets my kids brought home from school on Earth Day in this sweltering “BLUE” hole of the Chicago school system. And no worries, I’m pretty faint of heart too…I heard the cleaned up version of the video, but couldn’t find it to post…hence the warning!!

I put this post up fully expecting to get flamed for it. So absolutely no hard feelings at all!

Personally, I love Glenn Beck’s review of the movie:

I LURVE me some Glenn Beck!! See…he feels my pain! We don’t want to hurt the Earth…us “Red” folk, we just refuse to allow the religion that Environmentalism has become, take God out of the mix. They’ve taken him out of the schools, out of the government, out of Christmas and out of Easter. Now they are trying to make it look like something created by God can be destroyed by us puny humans. That God isn’t in control of this Earth. That’s he’s given it to us and walked away…and That’s precisely why I fight so hard against their crap!

I do believe we have a stewardship given to us by God to not be wasteful, to try to beautify it and care about clean air and water. But, actually the water and air are cleaner than they’ve ever been since the beginning of the industrial revolution. The earth has been cooling the last 10 yeara. There is more ice than 3 years ago, and more polar bears than 3 years ago. One prominent global warming scientist said the earth probably will continue taking this cooling break for another 15 years. That means for 25 five straight years we aren’t allowed to say they’re wrong.

We do recycle alluminum cans and newspapers, recycling is good. But, not putting the earth above the value of Gods children. He says “The earth is full and there is enough and to spare”. There are a certain number of spririt children
assigned to come to this earth, we were all there in the pre-existence when we were told of this gift of mortality. There will be an earth here to hold us all. God is in control, we are in the last-days and Christ is coming soon. In the 1830’s He said, “I am near even at the doorstep.”

Now, again I mention; this earth is a beautiful gift of God and we have a sacred stewardship from God. We do need to fight chemicals being dumped in our air and waters. So, great, find ways to reuse and clean, but, do not take God and Christ out of this equation. Those extremists seem to worship the earth and not the creator of this earth. I refuse to join them. LM (sorry, just need to get this off my chest because it’s all I hear now days.)
