I should probably let you all in on my “craziness” for celebrating a puppy birthday. I’ve had dogs all of my life and all 11 years of marriage, but never once have I had a birthday party for one. Well, sadly, the reason is…I needed content for my cake blog! I know…I have WAY too much time on my hands if I let my actions be controlled by a blog. But that poor little site was being neglected–so hey–I just had an excuse for two new cakes!

That said…here are the party pics!!

Yes…after slaving in the kitchen for two days for this party—the dog WAS GOING TO WEAR A PARTY HAT!!


This was the inside of the ‘doggy’ cake. The chunks are actually little cut up pieces of Beggin Strips.

And here are my happy puppies enjoying their cake. I still call Brownie a puppy, but she’s actually a grumpy old lady nearing 8 years old!!
