Well, sort of! I sat down a couple of weeks ago bound and determined to figure out where our finances were hemorrhaging! It wasn’t too hard–and after listing our pay along with our bills I realized we had nothing left! No wonder we’ve been dipping into savings month after month! So I worked out which bills would be paid out of each check and figured how much needed to go for gas and tolls for my husband to get to work. (That wasn’t pretty) It left me less than $200 for 2 weeks for my gas and food for the 6 of us. Yikes! Luckily, as the bills came in this past week or so, everything is much less than normal. The $250 gas bill was only $67 this month—so that portion of the budget got to be moved over to help with the food expense.

I’ve never really learned how to “deal” with money, and I have to say after seeing how it’s working with the second check of the month–I’m excited to see how it works with the first check of the month. Plus…May has an extra paycheck in it! Woo!
