I was just called the ‘World’s Best Daughter In Law’! I know…I’d like to thank the members of the Academy… Actually, if I must be honest, I am a darn good one! Every Sunday without fail the four kids and I head over to the in laws house for the day. Notice the son of the in laws isn’t with us–well, he makes it over there every other month or so! But not us. If it’s a Sunday, after church, you will find us there. The older kids play on the computer or watch football with Grandpa, Barrett snuggles with Uncle Bob and Blake rotates between everyone. I sit at the table gabbing with my mother in law. We play a mean game of Scrabble and will one of these days break out the Monopoly. Sunday’s are fun! When we do finally move West again, I will miss these afternoons. The nice thing is that I appreciate them, and they appreciate me (us)–and that’s just a good feeling!

On the wife and mother front there wouldn’t be a whole lot of votes on the “Best”–so it’s nice to be appreciated in one aspect of my life! I don’t get to see my mom at all–but I do call her every day, but I still have tremendous guilt about my kids not getting to know this amazing lady! Even though my kids don’t get to see my parents very often, they are VERY close to my mom, and that makes me happy!
