I had to post a week ago when we were driving around and I stopped to use a WiFi at the local McDonalds–well, today you get another first!  After a week of being down, I’m actually sitting in my living room next to my beautiful Christmas tree, and blogging!  Now I’ve done a number of things in this room.  It’s my sanctuary!  It’s perfectly clean, it’s got gates up blocking all entrance to it–so at night I will come in here and just sit on the couch and talk to my mom.  She’s in Yuma right now and I can’t call her for another hour and a half–so I thought I would use my sanctuary for something else!  The kids don’t know that I’m in here–and yet they are playing just a few yards away in the entry way!

I’ve never kept the Christmas tree up this long.  Generally it’s down the day after Christmas–but I’ve never had a room that didn’t need it’s space.  All other signs of Christmas are gone–but the tree is still up.  I was going to take it down yesterday, but got too caught up in everything to really get it done.  Today I spent all of my time working out our 2008 schedule–and so it’s still up.  Right now it’s the only light on in the room and you know, it’s just beautiful.  Peaceful, pretty–relaxing!  Who could ask for more!  I may just make this a nightly ritual–but the tree won’t be able to stay up too much longer-I’m one that feels silly rather easily–so maybe we’ll shoot for Saturday!
