What a tremendous shock, the Prophet of our church, President Gordon B. Hinkley died this evening. He was 97 years old. The only happiness to this sad moment, is the fact that he is back with his sweetheart whom he lost a couple of years ago. For April General Conferences we will be sustaining President Thomas S. Monson as the new President of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. We will have the opportunity to stand and sustain a new Prophet. I missed this chance when President Hinkley was put in, and I won’t miss this one.

My dad was President Hinkley’s Bishop before he was put in as the Prophet, and he has nothing but the warmest respect for this gentle giant! Oh how we will miss him. What a sweet heart he was!
