I am a HORRIBLE mother! Wednesday was Jacob’s first Orchestra performance and I was all ready for it. Digital camera with 2 GB card…check! We don’t have a fancy new video camera that records straight to DVD (come on Christmas), mine is still the one we bought 10 years ago when Jake was born. So we get there really early because camera’s and school performances just don’t seem to mix really well, and I wanted a close seat to get the best I could! So we are sitting on row 2, and I’m trying to make sure my volume is on, wait a minute–I’m not finding any volume controls! My new digital camera doesn’t have sound! But I just took a video about making snow–and it’s got sound. But that was with the ‘other new’ digital camera. So I quickly raced through my options. I could leave Grayson there to guard our seats and run home and get my old camera with sound…but it’s not compatible with my 2GB card–I could get the ‘other new’ camera–but it’s 1GB card is somehow “write protected” (don’t know how to turn that off) so I really didn’t have much of a choice! I did get video–soundless video, and I caught some really bad photo’s because again, digital camera’s and school performances don’t mix–even on row 2!! So here is the best I got–and I will have Jake play me his songs and I will record them with sound at a later date!
