My how things change! I am NOT a morning person. There is nothing I enjoy about the morning other than my snuggly warm bed. But today Wasatch decided it was time to get up at 6:30 am. It’s OK though because my husband spent the night on the couch with Brownie and I felt it was his turn for the bed. Plus, what is the purpose of lying in bed when a puppy is constantly scratching at the door. So we switched.
Realizing that Wasatch was not going to go back to sleep I decided we needed something to tire him out. So at 7 am, I strapped on my shoes, grabbed my coat and the leash, put his new sweater on, and we headed out for a walk in the falling snow. Soooo not something I enjoy, but watching the “puppy” in this puppy was just too sweet. He would pounce in the snow or dance around my feet as I kicked powder toward him. We went up around the court on our side yard and headed home for a little bag in case he took care of some ‘bidness.
Then we walked the full circle. Our house sits on a road that makes a huge racetrack type thing. So we walked it, and about half way home, he got a piece of ice stuck up in his foot so we stopped to pull that out, he lost his balance and hit his head (slightly) on a car we were stooped behind–poor thing. Once the ice was out, he was fine and back to pouncing in the snow.
I was happy to see home, but it was really fun to have this new little guy to take out at 7 in the morning!
