    Tonight The Tradition Starts!!

    By Robyn | December 29, 2007

Today we are starting a new tradition…Maybe!  For Christmas we got my mother in law a ticket to the Nutcracker.  We got her and her husband two tickets 5 years ago.  I remember this because I had a three week old little girl, and my mother in law came home saying that she can’t wait until Blake was old enough to take to see the ballet.  Well, this year my three week old little girl is now five, and my mother in law and I are taking her to see the Nutcracker for the first time.

We are going to get all dolled up and head to dinner.  Blake would like to eat at Dad’s work, but I will leave that up to his mom.  Then it’s downtown to the Auditorium Theater for the 7:00 show.

A couple of weeks ago, Blake got kind of bored at Jake’s cello concert so I was a little worried about this little foray into the world of classical art.  But with all of the vibrant colors and the dancing–and with mom whispering the story in her ear–I’m thinking we’ll be just fine!  Then it’s a stop for dessert somewhere–and then home to pick up the kids from Grandpa and Uncle Bob–and then home to bed!
