28 Aug 2007 The Party!!
 |  Category: Uncategorized

Last night was the kids going away party at Chuck E. Cheese. I have to say–it was a lot of work, but so worth it. All of my kids–even my 2 year old had a great time. I should admit I was a bit SHOCKED at how many tokens 12 kids can run through–We had over 500 and they still wanted more!

Barrett found it more fun to put the coins in and then walk away–or to sit in one ride and just pump tokens in it–NOT GOOD!! So he was finally relegated to the “One At A Time” rule. He would run up to me and say, “Mo monee Mama” and I would put my cheek down for the necessary gratuity–a sweet little kiss–I would hand him a token and say, “Love you, Baby” and as he ran off to find somewhere to spend his token you could hear “Love you, Mama”. Then however long it took for that one token to be used he would be back–and the scene would be repeated. Like 40 times–and every one of them just as cute!

We had a ton of pizza for the kids and I ordered me a salad bar. It was $5.99 and it was all you can eat. It had everything on it that I would want from a normal salad bar–but so much cheaper. I could bring the kids to dinner for the salad bar here–drop down $20 in tokens–and still walk out cheaper than at Sweet Tomatoes! Well, not really–and Sweet Tomatoes is my kids favorite restaurant-so we just won’t mess with that!

Jake had 3 out of his 4 friends come, Grayson had 2 out of his 4 and all three of Blake’s invitee’s came. The most important in Jake’s mind was Julia–she was there, and she was darling! She got him a Sponge Bob alarm clock-and then at the end I had them sit and get the “Chuck E. Sketch” of the two of them together-it turned out really cute–maybe I’ll post it later! Grayson ran around all night with P.J. and Blake did all the rides with Katherine. As sad as it is to be moving–it was a really fun night to show the kids just how much they will be missed!
