Family Ornaments!!

Every year I make a hand painted ornament for my kids. This year with all of the craziness-I didn’t get them done. So the day after Christmas I started checking out the Michaels in the area to find the raw wood ornaments to paint. No where had them! I searched 2 days in a row, and I promised myself that if I hadn’t found them by Wednesday night-I would give up and just purchase and paint double next year. Driving home Wednesday night-I found a Michaels clear out in the boondocks, and thought–Ah ha, they’ll have them! So I threw out my promise to myself, and headed back to the boondocks on Thursday!! Sure enough–they had them, not many–but I only needed 5 identical ornaments! I got them Little Santa faces-not my favorite-but beggars can’t be choosers! The reason I started to do this was because right after we got married-we had nothing Christmassy–not even a tree-which was fine, because we had nothing to put on it anyway! Now when they get married they will take all of their ornaments off of my tree to put on theirs, and I will still have an ornament on my tree that matches all of theirs! After they are finished–I’ll post a photo of them!
