Homage To Halloween–Blake!!

Blakelynn! Well, she has been the most fun to costume by far! Her first Halloween I made her a lady bug costume. Of course, out of a red sweatshirt turned inside out so it was fuzzy. I cut the sleeves off and put a fuzzy black leotard under it! It was warm and snuggly for a Chicago Halloween. This was the first and last Halloween Costume I’ve made for Blakelynn! The next year she loved Barney and it was more fun to find her a Barney costume and watch her face light up as she discovered she looked like him! I had just had a baby 5 days before, so sadly, there aren’t many pictures of her Barney Halloween. The one with her snuggling with Danielle is taken after Dani carried a tired Barney home from trick-r-treating! Last year we went all out and made her Minnie Mouse. She made the most perfect Minnie I’ve ever seen! So perfect in fact that she is reprising the role this year. I normally don’t re-use costumes because it just makes a duplicate scrapbook page–but when I was finding her pictures to put the whole costume up on eBay–I realized that she really needed to be Minnie again, and we would put the costume up on eBay next year! She’s really excited about it!
