The boys started school on the 29th of August. Jake returned to John Mills School for the 3rd Grade, and Grayson just started John Mills in 1st Grade.
Grayson had been very excited about the prospects of a new school for the first time after 3 years at the Early Childhood Center. But as the summer drew to a close, he started to feel a little overwhelmed by the “newness” of everything. After he met his teacher and filled his desk with his school supplies–he felt much better. This year he has Mrs. Lopata for a teacher, and thus far–she’s wonderful!

Jake is in Mrs. Penczek’s class. He had wanted Mrs. Crum, but I think he’s really enjoying his teacher and his class. He is doing really well getting his homework done, and getting to bed on time. The new thing he’s done this year–He and Grayson share a room and are up every morning with an alarm clock. By the time I get up to help them finish up-they have eaten breakfast and are dressed! Now we just have to work on getting those beds made before school!! Maybe we’ll have that as the “new” thing next year!

Thursday is their ‘Back to School’ night! They are very excited to show me their rooms and introduce me to their teachers. We’ll post those pictures on Friday!
